What is a Short Story?

A short story:

• usually centers around one or two main characters
• consists of one main event
• covers a limited time frame
• usually has a surprising ending

For more information on what is a short story all about, I have prepared a handout for all of you. Remember to read and go through this handout before our next literature lesson as it will help to facilitate your understanding of a short story.
